Amy Nguyen, MD

Amy Nguyen, MD specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. With over 15 years of experience and a two-year post-graduate training in Practical Dermatology at Cardiff University, Dr. Nguyen excels at treating patients with skin conditions and diseases. She is board certified and qualified to perform comprehensive skin examinations, diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for a wide range of dermatologic conditions. She also incorporates the knowledge and skills that she cultivated as a family physician to her dermatologic practice to provide comprehensive care. Furthermore, Dr. Nguyen has been the principal investigator for many FDA-approved clinical trials that have helped people with debilitating diseases, such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and severe acne. Education & Training

Dr. Nguyen received her Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Irvine where she graduated with distinguished honors. After graduating from the University of California, Irvine, she received her Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She completed her training and residency at Long Beach Memorial Family Medicine, where she was awarded the Resident Teacher Award. After a few years, she pursued her interest in Dermatology. She worked at the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine, as an assistant specialist from 2008-2010. Her work and study in cutaneous disease was published in the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and Lasers in Surgery & Medicine in 2009. Most recently, Dr. Nguyen completed a two year post graduate training in practical dermatology from Cardiff University.
